our historyWelcome to St. Mary and St. Mark Coptic Orthodox Church, a spiritual home for Coptic Orthodox Christians in Carmel, Indiana, and the surrounding community. Our church is part of the ancient Coptic Orthodox Church, which traces its roots back to the Apostle St. Mark, who brought the message of Christ to Egypt in the first century. Guided by centuries of tradition, we strive to live out the teachings of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ with faith, humility, and love. As our congregation grew over the years, we found the need for a larger space to accommodate our expanding church family. In 2016, we moved to a new, larger location in Carmel to better serve our community and continue our mission of faith and fellowship. We are deeply committed to the Coptic Orthodox values of worship, prayer, and service. Our church life revolves around the Divine Liturgy, the sacraments, and vibrant ministries for all ages. From children’s Sunday School to youth programs, adult Bible studies, and outreach efforts, we offer opportunities for spiritual growth and fellowship for everyone. Whether you are a lifelong member of the Coptic Orthodox Church or new to the faith, we warmly invite you to join us in worship and become part of our church family.
